Rediff.com announces appointment of Mr. M. Madhavan Nambiar to Board of Directors

Rediff.com India Limited (Nasdaq: REDF), one of the leading worldwide online providers of news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services for Indians, announced the appointment of Mr. M. Madhavan Nambiar as an Independent Director to its Board. Mr. Nambiar has also been appointed as a member of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Nambiar has spent over 36 years in the Indian Administrative Service with many of years focused on Information Technology. Mr. Nambiar most recently served as Secretary to the Government of India, first in the Ministry of Information Technology and then in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

He joins us with extensive experience and strong strategic skills generated from his career in the Indian Administrative Service. His expertise will be of great benefit to the Board."

Mr Nambiar is a Fellow at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, an Associate Professor at Columbia University, and a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola College, Madras University and Master of Business Administration from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.
